Accreditation
All biocidal products require an accreditation according to the Biocide Regulation Authorisation before being released on the market within the EU No. 528/2012 (BPR). Therefore, proof of sufficient effectiveness is mandatory. For national and international registration, we test the effectiveness of agents for the product types PT 18 (insecticides, acaricides) and PT 19 (repellents and attractants).
We are in close contact with regulatory authorities and advise in expert groups on the development of test guidelines relevant for approval.
For some target organisms, test protocols are insufficiently described. In such cases, we develop our own effective test protocols based on scientific criteria and focused on the product application. These can be submitted in advance to the approval authority for a verification of acceptance. Depending on requirements, we offer multi-stage test procedures from laboratory tests to simulated-use tests and test under field conditions. Our test protocols are based on the requirements of current directives, e.g. the EU (Guidance on the BPR: Volume II Efficacy – Assessment and Evaluation (Parts B&C; DRAFT Version 6.0, August 2023; ECHA) and other international standards.
